How to use design resources
Shared resources help content, interfaces and implementation work with a common language. They support consistency while retaining the distinct tasks and brand needs of individual products.
Separate identity and interface rules
Identity concerns logos, colors, typography and expression. Interface systems organize hierarchy, components, states and behavior. They should work together, but button colors are not a complete brand definition.
Compose from reusable foundations
Begin with typography, spacing and color, then use reusable components and sections to assemble pages. Repeated actions gain consistent feedback and teams avoid maintaining a different design vocabulary for every page.
Test realistic situations
Long titles, empty data, error messages, keyboard navigation and small screens belong in design checks. Visual neatness alone does not establish whether information can be found and tasks completed.
Check rights and versions
A public specification explains an approach without granting unrestricted rights to every image, mark or project asset. Confirm provenance, licensing and applicable versions before using resources in a deliverable.
