Understanding versions and updates

A version identifies a particular result and its basis. Version numbers, release dates and test results support traceability, but they do not all mean the same thing.

Distinguish candidates from accepted results

Drafts and candidates support discussion and validation. Human acceptance applies to a particular scope and should not automatically cover other pages, information or functions.

Distinguish local testing from publication

A local preview supports review; publication makes a version externally available. Check live pages and assets after release. Publishing does not complete missing content or backend functionality.

Understanding this website’s updates

This edition expands company explanations, working methods and capability articles. Planned articles remain unfinished, and sample data or concept screens should be interpreted through their labels rather than as evidence of operating results.

Help trace an issue

A page address, observed content, operation and device conditions support reproduction and version comparison. Preserve the original report after a correction and identify the conditions that were checked.
